Our task is to establish the use of recycled materials as a fully-fledged alternative to virgin materials. With modern sorting and processing technologies, we can now achieve outstanding material qualities. But it's not just about technical feasibility - it's also about measurable environmental benefits. The life cycle assessment of recycled plastics clearly shows that the use of recyclates saves resources, energy and CO₂ emissions. It is crucial that we use events such as CIRPLEX to jointly convince the market, politicians and industry that recycled plastic is not the second choice, but the first choice - for a sustainable future!
